Breaking: Christian Bale Cast in Marvel

Breaking Up: Christian Bale will play Thor: Marvel's Love and Thunder!

Collider is reporting (and THR confirms) that Christian Bale, Oscar winner (The Fighter, Vice, Ford vs. Ferrari), is talking to Marvel Studios to join the quad Thor: Love and Thunder! Although the channel did not reveal which character Bale is intended to play, it would make an excellent Calder the Brave, and it will also be a great opportunity to use your Welsh accent!

This will mark Bale's first foray into the world of comics after The Dark Knight Rises in 2012, and the second time a former Batman actor appeared on MCU after Michael Keaton's role as Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Which Marvel Comics character should Bale play in the movie? Let us know in the comments below!

Thor: Love and Thunder will be directed by Waititi (Jojo Rabbit), which will be the continuation of his 2017 hit sequel, Thor: Ragnarok. Natalie Portman must return as Jane and will use the mighty Mjolnir. Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson will also return as Thor and Valkyrie, respectively. Thor's female plot is based on Jason Aaron's series in "The Mighty Thor," in which cancer-stricken Jane Foster takes on Thor's cloak and powers.

Thor and Valkyrie were last seen in the highest grossing movie of all time, Avengers: Endgame, with the thunder god entrusting his responsibilities as king of Asgard to Valkyrie as he joined the Guardians of the Galaxy on his next mission.
