Killing Eve renewed for season four before season three premiere
BBC America has renewed its award-winning thriller Killing Eve for a fourth season before the show's third season premiere this spring, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“How could we not have a massive trust in Killing Eve? It has won a lot in all major awards and is the fastest-growing US television program for six years, ”said Sarah Barnett, president of AMC Networks Entertainment Group and AMC Studios. “The reason for the emphatic hug of this series is the brilliant women who inspired: Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Emerald Fennell, Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, Fiona Shaw and her fairy godmother, executive producer Sally Woodward Gentle. Season 3 lead writer Suzanne Heathcote takes Eve, Villanelle, and Carolyn to more exciting, twisted, and surprising places than ever before. Our addicted fans will not be disappointed. "

The show stopped with an explosive cliff at the end of season two, as Carolyn apparently betrayed EveSandra Oh) before Villanelle (Jodie Eating) shot Eve, leaving her dead in Rome. In Killing Eve's upcoming season, Suzanne Heathcote (Fear the Walking Dead, see) will replace Emerald Fennell as the new showrunner and lead writer, who is aligned with the show's tradition of passing the baton to a new female voice.
Joining Oh, Comer and Shaw in Season Three are Harriet Walter (Succession), Danny Sapani (Prostitutes), Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones), Camille Cottin (Call My Agent), Steve Pemberton (The Gentlemen's League) , Raj Bajaj (A prince of Christmas: the royal wedding), Turlough Convery (one ready player), Pedja Bjelac (Harry Potter) and Evgenia Dodina (one week and one day).
Based on Luke Jennings novels, BBCA's Killing Eve focuses on two women; Eve (Sandra Oh) is a bored, smart, whip security service operator whose portfolio work doesn't fulfill her fantasies of being a spy. Villanelle (Jodie Comer) is an elegant and talented assassin who clings to the luxuries that her violent work gives her. Killing Eve takes down the typical spy action thriller, as these two fiercely intelligent women, equally obsessed with each other, face an epic cat-and-mouse game.
Season two earned nine Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a dramatic series for Oh and Eat.
