Matt Reeves confirms Colin Farrell as the penguin in The Batman
While fans are still awaiting official news from the cast of some of the A-list stars, Matt Reeves went to Twitter to confirm that Colin Farrell (Seven Psychopaths) is indeed playing Oswald Cobblepot, also known as The Penguin, at the upcoming Robert Pattinson. Lighthouse) -led The Batman. Negotiations for the paper apparently took months, but were successful. Filming is underway in London.

The star-studded cast is led by Robert Pattinson (Good Time, The Lighthouse) as the titular Dark Knight. The film will also feature Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle / Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon and Paul Dano as Riddler, respectively. In addition to Peter Sarsgaard, whose role is being kept under wraps, the cast saw John Turturro (The Big Lebowski) join recently as Carmine Falcone and Andy Serkis (Black Panther) as Alfred Pennyworth, butler and father figure in the dark. knight as well as rookie Jayme Lawson.
Reeves' story was described as a character-oriented project, focused on Batman's experiences as the world's greatest detective. The filmmaker also said he expected a "rogue gallery" of villains in the film.

Reeves will direct the Warner Bros. film. Pictures also co-wrote the screenplay alongside writer Mattson Tomlin. Reeves is producing alongside Dylan Clark. Michael E. Uslan will act as Executive Producer.
Batman will begin production in January 2020 in the United Kingdom. The movie is scheduled to be released on June 25, 2021.
