Automobile giant Daimler and the Mercedes-Benz brand have announced the recall of up to 745,000 cars in the US that were launched between 2001 and 2011. According to Reuters, the problem would be one of the sunroofs on the vehicles.
According to the automaker, the connection between the glass panel and the sunroof sliding layer is flawed – and this can cause the attachment to simply detach from the vehicle during movement. Automobile lines such as C, CLK, CLS and E are among the possible affected.
Officially, the recall begins in the United States from February 14 and may only involve review and replacement of the part. Anyone who has one of the affected models and has already paid to specifically fix this failure will be reimbursed by the manufacturer.
