Stephen Lang talks about avatars sequences
Avatar Colonel Miles Quaritch remains one of the best villains of the last decade, so it was a little disheartening to see his unceremonious death in the first movie. Well, as it turns out, fans will be able to see much more of the cowardly military genius in the upcoming James Cameron sequels, which apparently was the plan from the start, according to Stephen Lang.
"Jim pointed out to me years ago, before finishing the filming of 'Avatar', that Quaritch had a future," Lang said. Deadline. "I could have had it with a grain of salt at the time, because we had a few beers. Right after the opening of" Avatar, "Jim mentioned again that the colonel was coming back, so I already knew Jim well enough to know that he I meant what he said and he said what he meant. "
This agrees with Cameron's 2017 comments, in which he stated: "There is no new villain every time, which is interesting. The same guy. The same son of a bitch in all four (planned) movies. He's so good and it only gets better. I know Stephen Lang is going to get it out of the park
Is it possible to make an interesting villain over five films? Looks like we're about to find out.
