Hawk and Winter Soldier Halt Production in Puerto Rico
About nine months from now, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will become the first original MCU series at Disney +. However, production has just reached its first major challenge. By Deadline, filming previously scheduled for the program in Puerto Rico has been suspended. The main reason is because Puerto Rico suffered a 6.4 earthquake last week, followed by a 5.9 earthquake over the weekend.
Originally, Marvel Studios planned to film in the northern part of the island. Now it is unclear whether the series will be filmed in Puerto Rico. According to the report, an alternative location is more likely to be found. Regardless, production will be stopped until a solution is found.
Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan are playing their lead roles in The Hawk and the Winter Soldier. The series will resume after the events of Avengers: Endgame, as the unlikely pair is brought back to work.
Emily VanCamp will also return as Sharon Carter for the first time since Captain America Civil War. In addition, Daniel Brühl will reprise his role as Helmut Zemo. Wyatt Russell also joined the cast as John Walker, also known as the US Agent.
Falcon and Winter Soldier will arrive at Disney + in the fall of 2020.
