The Mandalorian season 1 episode 7 recap
To keep up with high expectations from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Disney + delivered the latest episode of the critically acclaimed spinoff series The Mandalorian two days earlier than usual, with a special look attached to the ending of the Skywalker Saga. The penultimate episode of season one sees the return of many familiar, friendly and dangerous faces to a grand plan to keep The Child safe.

Mando receives a broadcast from Greef Karga, revealing that he is alive and that the Client is still in Nevarro and has taken over the city with despotic rules after bringing in more remaining soldiers and doing business for The Troubled Guild. He offers a job in which they use the Child as bait to return to the Client, during which Mando will be surrounded by loyal Guild members and will kill the Client and have his name cleared in the Guild and will stay with the Child. Mando begins building his own team when he returns to Sorgan to hire Cara Dune and where he finds The Child to recruit Kuiil, who reveals that he revived and reprogrammed the IG-11 after Mando prevented him from killing The Child.
Everybody has a story
While the trio stay at Kuiil's house at night, we learn more about Cara's story, as Kuiil recognizes the tattoo on his arm as that of a Rebel Alliance dropper, a form of shock. When asked if he served during the Galactic Civil War, Kuiil reveals that he fought for the Galactic Empire during it. As they fly to Nevarro the next day, the tension increases after The Child begins to choke Cara with the Force during an arm wrestling match with Mando, confusing her with an act of aggression. During his heated screams, of which Cara scolds Kuiil for fighting for the Empire, he reveals that he was sold to the Empire and forced to do manual labor for them, in addition to fighting, which was not by choice.
A rebel camp night
The trio lands on an isolated part of the planet and reunites with Greef and his two other Guild members, with Kuiil's plan to keep an eye on The Child while working, while Cara will act as Mando's main supporter alongside Greef. . and the other two. After venturing into the lava pits during the day, they camp at night and are attacked by pterodactyl-like creatures, with Greef suffering a serious poison injury and the creature rapidly spreading by the arm. Before succumbing, The Child uses The Force to heal his arm and remove the poison.
An olive branch
During his journey the next day, Greef kills and kills both Guild members, revealing that his plan was to actually kill Mando and subsequently Cara and Kuiil, and take The Child back to the Client, but then saved his life the night before. . , he had a change of heart. The new plan will get Kuiil to take The Child back to the ship, while Mando will appear restrained and head to town with Cara and Greef with the sealed cart to look like they are delivering the Child.
The trio roams the city, with Cara revealing that she has a bad feeling about the situation, as there are dozens of soldiers in the city against just the four Greef has promised, although he promises there are only four watching over the Client. They come to a canteen to find him and he asks for the cart to be opened, but before the truth about the Child is revealed, he gets a call from Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), implying that he knows the Child is not. It's in the cart. . When Greef passes his Blaster under the table, the blaster fire goes through the window behind the bar and takes the Client and the soldiers out at the bar. Mando contacts Kuiil via his link to check if he has returned to the ship, but his transmission is intercepted by speeding soldiers, who rush to reach him before he can reach the ship. Gideon lands in the middle of the city, surrounded by an army full of soldiers. When he desperately contacts Kuiil to see if he has returned to the ship, it is revealed that the fastest soldiers beat him on the ship, killed him and took the Child back to town.
