The Witcher Season 1 Episode 7 Recap
With Geralt de Rivia (Henry Cavill) now loveless by Yennefer de Vengerberg (Anya Chalorta), the seventh episode of Netflix's The Witcher sees him return to Cintra to check on his son of the surprise Princess Cirilla (Freya Allan), who is now Skellige way.

Title in opposite directions
Losing Dara's company, Ciri is now alone, found committing petty thefts in a market on her way to the kingdom of Skellige. After meeting a woman who offers to take her to a shelter with her family, she steals a horse and leaves. Meanwhile, Geralt returns to Cintra, despite Calanthe's death threats, and meets secretly with Mousesack to check on Ciri and warn of the Nilfgaard army forming on the nearby Amell Pass. They are interrupted, however, by assassins, and realizing that there are many Geralt forces Mousesack to door them both out, arriving at Cintra. The queen initially wants to see Geralt dead and asks why he returned, to which he says he would never have intended if she had not sent eight men after him to kill him. She offers to repay the debt, but he refuses and believes her life is in danger and offers to take her and protect her from Nilfgaard.
This is not the princess
After initially knowing who he believes to be the princess, Calanthe asks him to wait to be summoned while she says goodbye to his peasant friends, however Mousesack secretly opens a door for him and he goes the way to find her saying goodbye to his peasants. friends, except it's not the princess and she's actually playing with the other boys. After departing from Geralt after his broken heart, Yennefer arrived in Nazair to meet Istredd, who is currently looking for a hidden rune, hoping to revive the romance and join him on his expeditions. While they initially kiss and he shares his feelings for her, he laments her that she has chosen to be powerful over love and leaves her behind, after which she is greeted by Vilgefortz from Roggeveen. He says that he is a wizard of Aretuza and begs her to return, as Tissaia requested his presence with the impending war. When she arrives, she discovers that he lied to her to come back to help, with which she goes out and finds a group of girls currently studying the mystical arts she has done. However, she also learns that the rules are starting to loosen over time since she was a student, as most girls' families practically bought their way rather than being discovered at a channeling moment. She mixes a special batch of herbs that makes all girls young except one who believes they will all suffer disciplinary action. Yennefer takes the girls to the windmill, where her ex-sisters have been turned into eels and reveals that this is the fate of those who do not ascend and that if the girls go up they will lose their fertility.
The time has come for war
With Nilfgaard continuing to conquer the lands and Fringilla helping with their magic, the Sorcerer's Brotherhood splits into what their actions should be like, some believing the kingdom's claims that they only want to conquer Cintra and should abstain while others believe Nilfgaard does not. will make. stop there. After voting which way to go, the Chapter decides to refrain from war and let Cintra fall, except for a handful of wizards who believe that Nilfgaard should be stopped, including Yennefer, Vilgefortz, and Tissaia. While still choosing to stay out of the battle, Tissaia asks Yennefer to join the fight to protect Aretuza not for herself, but for the dean she agrees with.
Destination is in progress
As Cintra begins to fall into Nilfgaard's hands (see Episode 1), Geralt escapes from the prison cell and leaves the castle while Calanthe orders Mousesack to bring him in to protect Ciri, only to find him. As Ciri is guided out of the castle to escape and Calanthe leaps from the window until her death, Geralt sees the queen fall after fighting some guards and returns to the castle in search of the princess.
Dark Power Emerges
When Ciri camps in the middle of a field with her newly acquired horse, she is met by a group of men who are Cintrans, one of whom was his peasant friend, but instead of gathering in happiness, they steal things. her and threaten to turn her into Nilfgaard.
