Todd Phillips wants a Batman movie in the Joker universe
This year's Joker surprised everyone as it polarized critics and impressed audiences, which made it the highest grossing R movie of all time, with over $ 1 billion worldwide, and although there have been many Rumors and conversations about co-writer / director Todd Phillips continuing his work with a sequel or other DC projects, it looks like he would like to see a Batman movie set in his Clown Prince of Crime universe.

In an interview with VarietyPhillips revealed that while he has no intention of doing or developing the project, he is very interested in seeing someone further explore the ramifications of what his film brings to Gotham City.
"It's just a beautiful Gotham, what I'd like to see someone face is how Batman looks like this Gotham," said Phillips. "What was interesting to me about Batman's inclusion in our movie was: what kind of Batman does this Gotham do?"
Director Todd Phillips' original and original story, Joker, explores the world of – and according to – Arthur Fleck. Indelibly portrayed by Phoenix, Arthur is a man who faces the cruelty and utter contempt of society, along with the indifference of a system that allows him to move from vulnerability to depravity. Rental clown a day, he strives to be a standing comic book at night … but finds that the joke always seems to be in him. He is out of tune with everyone around him, as evidenced by his uncontrollable and inappropriate laughter, which gains momentum as he tries to contain it, exposing him to the most ridiculous – and even violence.
Arthur, who is dedicated to caring for his frail mother, looks for all the father figures he has ever had, from wealthy businessman Thomas Wayne to TV host Murray Franklin. Trapped in a cyclical existence that swings on the precipice of reality and madness, a bad decision leads to a chain reaction of escalating and ultimately deadly events.
